[Shipping & Delivery] What is the Same Day Delivery Channel (previously known as Instant Delivery)?

📣 Exciting Announcement:

 

  • Starting on the 15th of August 2024, ShopeeFood's Same Day Delivery services will now accept Cash on Delivery as a payment option.
 
  •  Effective on the 19th of February 2025, Same Day Delivery by ShopeeFood services will be extended to Terengganu.

 

The Same Day Delivery Channel is a point-to-point delivery option that allows you to receive your order on the same day*  from the seller via Shopeefood drivers. You may identify items available to be delivered via Same Day Delivery through (1) Search Filters, or by looking out for (2) the Same Day Delivery tag. 

 

⚠️ Note:

 

Same Day Delivery is available only for selected sellers and delivery areas in Klang Valley, Johor, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Perak, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Pahang and Terengganu.

 

1. When can I expect to receive my order?

 

Refer to the Estimated Delivery Date on the Checkout page when placing your order. Please expect that orders paid after 2 pm will be delivered the day after tomorrow, excluding Weekend and Public Holidays.

 2. How do I know if my order is eligible for Same Day Delivery?

 

The shipping option for Same Day Delivery will be displayed on the checkout page if your area/ product of delivery is eligible. Currently, this service is only available in Klang Valley, Johor, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Perak, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Pahang and Terengganu with the condition of:

 

  • Delivery Distance: 30KM distance limit between buyer and seller location 

  • Package Weight: 10KG Max per parcel

  • Package Size: 30 x 30 x 30 cm (length x width x height)

  • Category: Eligible items based on the condition above which excludes virtual goods, non-halal and prohibited items; please refer to the table below:

Firearms, weapons such as pepper spray, stun guns, etc., and imitations of weapons (anything which has the appearance or is intended to give the impression of being an arm, whether it is capable of discharging any shot, bullet, missile, noxious liquid, gas or other thing, or not).

Illicit Drugs

Illegal substances, including but not limited to drug-like substances and associated paraphernalia. For more information, please click here

National Classified Documents

National classified documents but not limited to visa, passport, national ID card, driving license, residence permit, work permit, halal-related certifications or any government / official certification or document not mentioned above.

Currency / Credits

Currency or credits including, without limitation, digital currency or credits, and stored value cards.

Dangerous Goods

Hazardous, explosive, flammable, toxic, radioactive and corrosive materials.

Living Things

Animals, wildlife products, human parts or remains, and plants.

Obscene or Adult Materials

Pornographic, cult publications.

Potentially Infringing Items

Items including but not limited to replicas, counterfeit items, and unauthorized copies of a product or item which may violate certain copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of third parties.

Jewelry and Precious Stones

Precious or high-value stones i.e. diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and Jewellery made from chemical elements i.e. white /yellow gold, silver/sterling silver.

Batteries

Detachable lithium-ion batteries have a risk of explosion.

Frozen Items

Goods for which special equipment (i.e. temperature-controlled goods) is required.

Religious Materials & Artifacts

Religious books and sculptures i.e. Al-Quran, Bible, etc., and artefacts and relics (objects that can have religious, cultural, or personal significance)

Non-Halal

Meat, alcohol, animal products, and dairy products that do not meet Islamic dietary guidelines.

 

3. How do I choose Same Day Delivery as a Shipping Option?

dStep 1: Add the product to your cart by clicking on Add To Cart 

Step 2: View your cart and click on Check Out with your order

Step 3: Select Same Day Delivery as the shipping option

Step 4: Click on Place Order

 

4. What is the rate for Same Day Delivery? 

 

Please refer to the shipping rates below for the Same Day Delivery Channel:

  • RM 7 off delivery fees with a Free Shipping Voucher with RM30 min spend.

 

5. How will I be contacted if my parcel has arrived?

 

Our delivery partner will call you once they arrive at your selected location.

 

⚠️ Note:

 

  • You will receive a PN when the rider has picked up their parcel.

 

6. Can I track the movement of the delivery partner that handles my SDD order in real time?

 

Yes, you can track your order in real-time when the rider collects your parcel from the seller.

Step 4: Click on Track Driver Location

Step 5: View Shipping Information

 

7. What will happen to my order if I fail to receive the parcel during the delivery attempt?

 

Fret not, if the delivery is unsuccessful, you will receive a notification regarding the failure of the delivery attempt. The parcel will be returned to the seller and you will be automatically refunded based on your selected payment method.

 

8. What if I do not receive my Same Day Delivery parcel within the guaranteed hours?

 

There may be a slight delay in the delivery due to bad traffic or weather conditions. We seek your kind understanding as our delivery partner will ensure to deliver your parcel to you as soon as possible and in good condition. 

 

9. What should I do if my product is incomplete/wrong/damaged/faulty upon receiving the parcel?

 

You may raise a Return/Refund request and select the appropriate return reason via the Shopee app.

  • You should only click the Order Received button upon verifying that the product is working as expected.
